Please allow 3 weeks for delivery from the date we receive your photos in total. If you need your order sooner, please select the rush order option on the order form. With a rush order, we can usually ship same or next day of receiving your photos. Your order ships from our San Marcos, California studio so please allow 1-5 days for UPS ground delivery. We offer expedited shipping services as well.

Will you crop my photos? Can photos be vertical and horizontal? As with all of our custom products, we retain the right to creative license when making your photo quilt. This means that we will individually crop, color correct and select the best orientation for each photo. If you have anything specific that you are worried about, just let us know.
What if I don't have any photos of the couple and wish to give the quilt as a gift? Gift certificates make the perfect gift! The certificate gives detailed instructions on how many photos to submit. Let the recipient of your gift select their own photos.
What materials are used to create the quilt? Is it washable? The quilt is created with 100% natural cotton fabric. The quilt batting is a polyester cotton blend. A permanent black fabric marker is available to allow your guests to sign your finished quilt at your event. We don't recommend machine washing the photo quilt. Dry cleaning is suggested.
How long does it take to receive photo quilts?
If your rush order and photo materials are received before 12:00pm PST, we will create your quilt and ship it the following business day (busy holiday periods may be an exception). Please see our UPS shipping map to get an idea of what type of shipping you will need to select in order to receive your quilt in time for your event. If a faster shipping service is needed to get your order to you in time, we will contact you and collect additional charges. |
What kinds of photos should I select? Select photos of your family and friends. Go through old albums and select baby photos of the bride and groom and their parents. Pets, group shots, and vacation photos make excellent subject matter. Please indicate if you have any special requests for placement. Otherwise, we will create a composition that we think looks best.
I have mostly color but some black and white shots. What do I do? If you select the color option, we will leave your black and white photos as is and the color photos in color. We can also make your black and white photos sepia if you prefer - just instruct us to do that.
My photos are all different sizes and shapes. Can I make a quilt? With over 2,000 completed Photo Quilts under our belts, we assure you, we have seen it all. Most folks do not have an entire collection of perfect, professional photos. We are used to working with photos of various sizes, shapes and color tones. We will take your photos, place them in a template and make them all the same size and tonal family. We will individually work with each photo to make it look great!
Can I use my professionally taken photographs? Because we are creating a gift item for you, yes, we have the legal right to reproduce your professionally taken photos.
Are my photos good enough for a quilt? Generally, we can work with most photos. There are few instances when we have to reject a photo. Usually, it is because the image was pulled from a web page and it is very small and low resolution. In this case, we will call the customer and ask for a replacement. Dark photos can sometimes be lightened in photo shop. Faded photos can usually be worked on to get more contrast. If you are unsure about your photos, email the smallest photos to photos@tybinc.com. Typically, anything under 100k in file size is too small.
Generally, dark color photos, particularly old photos taken indoors, do not look good made black and white or sepia. Take a look at the example below of a dark color photo:
