We do offer some standard designs and shapes, but all of our cake toppers are made to order, with your requests and preferences beautifully displayed. What sets us apart from the competition? Well, for one thing, we switched from using polymer clay to 100% poly-resin. Not only is poly-resin more resilient to shipping, it will last forever. Most customized cake toppers are made in polymer clay which is baked at 250 degrees and it relatively fragile. If it arrives in one piece in time for your wedding, it will not stand the test of time as a keepsake. Eventually, the clay gets crumbly and small pieces will break off.

Secondly, if your cake topper is created in clay and it does break on its way to you, a replacement will have to be completely resculpted and it will not look exactly like the original. Beware of bobble head cake topper sellers on eBay! Often the photos that they display on their ads are from their competitors and not necessarily their own work. Even though their prices may be less, most are based out of the US and after you pay, there is little recourse should you be unhappy with your finished cake topper. We have received numerous calls from brides and grooms that placed their orders on eBay and never heard anything back. When their cake topper arrived, they did not match the requirements that they carefully laid out. No one returns their emails and there is no where to call.

When you place your order with us, you have access to a real live person Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm PST by toll free number and chat support on the weekends and evenings. We never ship anything without your approval (unless it is a super rush) and send numerous, high resolution, close-up images of your cake topper in progress. So by the time it reaches you, you know it is perfectly what you are expecting. Other competitors offer 2D drawings of your cake topper, we offer the real thing scultped in 3D. A 2D cartoon drawing is a good way to get you to approve a design before work begins but it is only provided to protect the seller, not the buyer. When you work with us, you will know that your project requirements are 100% understood before work begins. If the photos you submit are not useful or if more photos are needed, you will be contacted. We have created to date over 5,000 cake toppers and we know what is required to create success.

How long does this take?

We proof our cake toppers every step of the way with our customer. Nothing ships until it is approved by you. The more time you have, the more changes you can make. The process generally takes about 6 weeks in total including a few rounds of changes and corrections. We have created cake toppers in as little as two weeks but we will not have the ability to make any changes to your cake topper. We will send you the final photo for your approval and then we need to ship it right away!

Select the "Express Shipping" option if you have less than 6 weeks before the event. In this case, we may not have time to send you emailed proofs of your cake topper in progress.

How will these be delivered?

Your cake topper will be delivered using the United States Postal Service (or your country's postal service). We will send the tracking information for your order when it ships. Please track your order online so you know when it is going to arrive. Once your cake topper leaves our hands, we are no longer in control of it. If you receive a notice from the post office to pick up your package in the case that it was not delivered to you, it is your responsibility to get the package! Please make sure you approve your cake topper at least 2 weeks before your event in order to ensure there is plenty of time for it to arrive. Express shipments are sent using FedEx, UPS or DHL depending on their destination.

What if my cake topper doesn't arrive in time?

This doesn't happen very often. We keep a very close eye on your event date and make sure we alert you when your cake topper needs to ship. However, if you do not respond to our emails or calls, this may delay the process. Please do not wait until the last minute to approve your cake topper! We understand that if your cake topper isn't on your cake, it loses its special value.

Our Guarantee

As long as you approve your cake topper 2 weeks (14 days) before your actual event date, we will guarantee to get it to you in time (at least one day before the event). Otherwise, we will ask that you return the product for a full refund. We can only offer a refund in the case that a) you emailed your approval at least 2 weeks (14 days) before your event date and received confirmation back from us that we received your approval; b) you return the package, unopened, back to us immediately after the missed event date; c) you submitted the correct address to us at the time your order was placed; d) your order did not reach the post office nearest to your address or your actual address at least one day before your event AND the reason for its delay was not caused by a natural disaster or act of god.

How many photos do you need? If we are using one of our pre-made bodies and just sculpting your heads, we need one good frontal face shot for both the bride and groom. The best thing is to take the photos expressely for this purpose. Nice big smiles! We can also use a photo for the bride's hairstyle if you want it to be styled differently than it is in her face photo. You can get a good hairstyle photo from online - celebrity hairstyles work great!   If you are making either one or both of the figures custom, we will need photos for the clothing, accessories and pose as well. Again, you can go online and get these photos.

Are my photos good enough quality for a custom cake topper? As long as your photos are above 100k in size and the faces are clearly shot from the front, we can use your photos. The better the photo, the better our artist will be able to tell your characteristics so we encourage you to submit good, clear photos.

I don't have the photos on me. What do I do? You can place your order now and we can set your order aside. We will wait for you to submit your photos. If you need to collect photos from others, send them the link to your special order folder at our File Upload Tool. Collect all the photos in your folder and then you can easily access your folder and delete or add files. We will help you every step of the way in making sure we have the right amount of photos and names.

How do I get my photos to you? Photos can be submitted digitally using our handy dandy File Upload Tool. You will be prompted to upload your photos once you place your order. The link to the File Upload Tool will also be in your confirmation email so you can upload your photos when you get the chance. You can also mail your photos to us and we'll scan them. This will delay the whole process a bit as we will wait to get your photos. Please make sure your name is on them! If you would like them sent back, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. What Types of Photos Work Best?

Faces We strongly recommend taking photos expressly for this process. Don't worry about going through all your snapshots looking for the photos where you think you look really cute! Get a digital camera and take a photo of the groom and then have him take a photo of the bride (or the subject of the cake topper). Take the photo from the front angle with the head straight - like a drivers license photo or mug shot. Get really close-up and make sure the lighting is good. While you may be tempted to turn your head to capture your "best angle," refrain, it's best for our purposed to see your face straight on. Don't forget to smile! You can't send us a photo of an unsmiling face and ask us to make the smile. We can't do that. Our artists work quite literally from your photos and we will sculpt exactly what we see in your photo. 1 straight on shot is all we need for each subject. If you submit more than one, we will ask that you let us know which one to use.   A profile photo is a nice touch. Remember to keep the facial expression the same as your straight on shot. We can live without a profile shot but they sure are nice to have! The better we can visualize your faces, the better your miniature replica will be. Great face shot! See how she is looking straight at the camera? The lighting really shows her hair and eye color, too. Great profile shot! We can really tell what Jessica looks like from the side and get her chin and nose down pat! Bad face shot! See, this is from my wedding and I think I looked really great that day but my face is at a weird angle and we would have a hard time working with this. Hair Don't worry if your hair is not how you plan to wear it in your face photos. Most brides will submit a photo for the front of their hair, the back of their hair and sometimes the hair accessories or veil they intend to wear. We recommend scouring the internet for a nice updo that will work for your sculpture. We can use a photo of someone else for your hair photo. Good hair shot. This image makes it easy to see the front of her hairstyle and the back as well as the hair accessory. Facial Hair Please make sure that the face photo submitted for the groom shows the exact way he plans to wear his facial hair on the day of the event. It is hard for us to "add a goatee" or "make a little more clean shaven." Take the guess-work out of it for us and send us a photo of what you would like his face to look like.   Gown and Clothing If you select any of our stardard style customizable dresses, it is helpful for us to see the front and back of your gown. On many of our bride styles, the skirts are molded to match today's modern bridal silhouettes but the bodice and sleeves is left unmolded so that we can paint your custom style.   If you select a custom body, we will need to see all clothing and accessories in detail. The more photos from front and back, the better. Don't forget accessories and shoes!   Pets If you selected one of our standard pre-made pet styles, we will just be using your photos to paint the markings. The pose will be exactly what you see online from the selections available.   If you selected a custom pet from photo, please submit a photo of your pet in the pose you would like and make sure we can see all visable markings so we get him just right!   Pose If you selected a fully custom figure or figures, you have the option of creating your own pose. We can also place the figures next to one another or holding hands. Please let us know. If you plan on doing something more original, a pose photo is very helpful! We suggest you get into the pose yourselves and take a digital photo on a timer. That way, we can see your height difference as well as know exactly which limb goes were. Don't forget to hold the accessories you may be including!

Level 1: Standard Bodies with Custom Heads

Select from hundreds of pre-designed body styles. Bodies are cast in hard resin from a mold and cannot be altered in any way other than color. Each cake topper we make is hand painted to your exact specifications. We can make the clothing, flowers and accessories any color you like.

All heads are custom sculpted from your photos. We do not offer generic head styles. Your face, hair and optional headwear in included in the price.

Level 2: One Standard Body and One Custom Body with Custom Heads

Select from hundreds of pre-designed body styles for one figure. We will sculpt from heads to toe a fully custom figure to go alongside the standard figure. The custom figure can be in any pose you like with any clothing and accessories you choose.

Both figures will have custom sculpted heads based on your submitted photos.
