Return Policy

General Disclaimer
The Younique Boutique specializes in handmade, one-of-a-kind, custom gifts. Due to the nature of our product line, refunds are not offered simply because your custom item can not be resold. Our goal is always to create a satisfied customer and we work tirelessly to do so. However, there are instances where the customers ideas and the completed product do not match. Please keep this in mind when placing your order and make sure to be very specific in your order.
 

Cancellations
We will only cancel a placed order if no work has begun on completing any of the items ordered. If a credit card was used to place the order, we will refund the entire amount minus a $5.00 service fee which covers the cost of processing your card.


Oil Paintings are non returnable and non refundable under any circumstance. If the frame arrives broken, we will be happy to provide a new frame at no additional cost to you. If you are unsatisfied with the composition, colors used, or any other aspect of the painting, we apologize. We strongly advise against using close-up photos of people's faces as subject matter.

 

Custom paintings are created by a trained artist. Every time a new painting is created, the utmost care and sensitivity is applied to create a piece of art we hope you will love. We haven't received a complaint yet!

To ensure your love of the finished piece, please let the artist know your desires when you submit your photography. She will be happy to talk with you in length before the painting has begun.


Ceramic Guest Book Platters, Family Tree Platters, Wall Plates and Family Portrait platters are packed with care. However, the platter is somewhat fragile and it may break. We have not experienced too much breakage in the past. If your platter arrives broken, please let us know immediately. If there is still time, we will ship another platter free of charge. If we can not fulfill your order in time, with the exception of rush orders, we will refund your order in its entirety. Please see our policy on rush orders below.

 

Our platters are handmade. Please be advised that small inconsistencies in the glaze are normal and hard to avoid during this process. Each item will be carefully inspected before shipping to ensure a quality product. However, your idea of acceptable and our idea of acceptable may vary. If you feel your platter is not acceptable in its appearance with the exception of design or lettering, please call us to discuss this. In most cases, we will ask you to return your piece and replace it at no additional charge. It is against our policy to pay to have the returned piece shipped back to our studio.

 

We recommend purchasing at least two markers for your guest book platter. The markers are sent sealed and therefore, we have no way of testing them before we ship them to you. Please test your markers before your event to ensure that they are in working condition. Replacement markers can be purchased at Michaels Art Supplies. We cannot be held responsible for issues you may have using the markers so make sure you test them beforehand.

 

If you are unhappy with the platter for any other reason (and you won't be :), we apologize but we can not offer a refund.


Ring bearer pillows and flower girl baskets purchases are non refundable with the exception of an order that was incorrectly made. If you feel like the item you received does not match your order, please contact us to make arrangements for a replacement at no additional charge. Please carefully choose between 6" pillows and 8" pillows. 6" pillows are rather small and are more suitable ring bearers under the age of 6 years.


Photo quilts are non-returnable. While we strive to create your quilt in the exact configuration you wish, we cannot be held responsible for placing pictures in another order. Labeling your photos clearly and sending a guide is helpful. The ONLY exception to this policy is if names were misspelled or a date was incorrect. In this case only we will be happy to replace it for you upon receipt of the original. This is true of photo pillows and photo blankets, as well.


Signature Mat and Frame Kits are returnable within 3 days of your receipt. Please call us to let us know you are returning the items. You will be responsible for all shipping costs including the cost to ship the item back to TheYouniqueBoutique.com and the original shipping costs. Additionally, there is a $5.00 processing fee that will be deducted from your refund.

Our line of designer crystal and pearl bridal headpieces, wedding tiaras, halos, hair sticks, crystal bouquets and bridal jewelry with the exception of special orders* and rush orders**, may be returned for a full refund excluding shipping costs. Items returned must be postmarked no later than 3 business days after you receive the shipment. Since we track all of our shipments, we adhere strictly to this policy. You must call us or email us for a return authorization number at 1-866-5HEAVEN. There are no exceptions. All items must be returned in unused condition or no credit will be issued.

 

Selecting two items with the intention of returning one is strongly discouraged. These items are custom made. There will be a $25.00 restocking fee applied to all returns under this condition.

Crystal Bouquets are extremely labor intensive and made to order. Most other suppliers do not accept returns at all. Please select carefully. If your bouquet is over $150, a $50 restocking fee will need to be charged in the event of a return.

 

* Basic items are created using white, ivory, crystal clear or iridescent beads only in either gold or silver. An item ordered with any other combination of colors will be concerned a "special order" and not eligible for a return.

** Orders that need to be delivered prior to the three week time frame will be considered rush orders.


Cake Toppers
Cake Toppers are made by hand for you and are not returnable or exchangeable under any circumstances. You will be given the chance to proof your sculpture in progress and we will not ship it until you approve it. In the case of a rush order, we may not be able to proof the cake topper with you. Placing a rush order for a cake topper is a bit risky because of this fact. Supplying us with ample photos can minimize this risk.

 

While our artists are very skilled, creating someone's likeness is very subjective. We will offer you several revisions to your cake topper in order to make it closer to your likeness. Once work begins on a cake topper, we can not cancel the order. Supplying high quality photos is the best way to ensure your cake topper will look like you.

 

Orders ship from Hong Kong. We strongly suggest you approve your cake topper 2 weeks before your big day to avoid delays in shipment. If you place a rush order, your order will be shipped UPS expedited. Please do not risk a delay in shipping by waiting until two days before your event to approve your cake topper! Give yourself a few days padding. If your order does not make it in time for your wedding due to shipping delays, we can not be held responsible. We will do everything in our power to get your cake topper to you before the wedding but we need you to cooperate by regularly checking your email and providing approval in a timely matter.
